The first of eight Australian locations to use the new Intercard iWave Reader has gone into operation. Intercard is a primary supplier of cash management solutions for family entertainment centres.

Intencity

The deal is with Village Roadshow Leisure Pty, a leading Australian operator. Eight of the company’s Intencity FECs will use iWave. The initial installation has gone into the Intencity at Marion, South Australia, a suburb of Adelaide, and the tests there confirmed Village Roadshow’s satisfaction and has led to a contract for the remaining seven locations.

They are at Epping and Sunshine in Victoria, Albury, Erina and Glendale in New South Wales, Morayfield in Queensland and Hobart in Tasmania.

Said Brion Cummings, national business manager at Intencity: “Moving to a card system was an easy decision and with our multiple locations, working with Intercard’s centralised database was the only choice. It will allow us to manage all of our locations from the central office and run consolidated reports for all locations.”
