Rolf Falke has taken over as CEO of one of Germany’s top chains of arcades.

The former Gauselmann Group executive will control over 100 arcades of the Casino Royal group, a chain owned by Waterland Private Equity Investments, which also controls other well-known names in the European gaming industry, including JVH of the Netherlands and Napoleon Games Group of Belgium.

Casino Royal has 130 locations, mainly in the North Rhine-Westfalia region of Germany. Falke was for several years senior management at Merkur Casino, Gauselmann’s operating arm.

The move means that Falke will leave the Solutions4Gaming company he started with fellow ex-Gauselmann Group senior executive Thomas Niehenke. They formed the alliance at the end of 2014 to use their joint international gaming experience to set up the consultancy business.

In the 18 months that followed, Falke and Niehenke have put together several major acquisitions and mergers on the international gaming industry stage, with their S4G business.

Falke told InterGame today: “Thomas and I have worked together very well and the consultancy business has grown and expanded. I have been very happy there, but the opportunity to manage one of Germany’s top 10 operating companies is a great challenge.

“I leave S4G in very good health and with the great experience of Thomas Niehenke I have no doubts whatever that it will continue to be a great success.”
