The company, which operates the AMF and Kingpin Bowling chains in its home market, has found great success in the US with its rapidly expanding Main Event Entertainment FEC business.

Its bowling division recorded total revenues of AU$116.5m in the 2015 financial year, up from $113.9m in the previous 12 months. During the period it opened a new AMF centre in Revesby, New South Wales, and a Kingpin venue in Darwin in the Northern Territory. The latter, which opened on August 1, features laser tag, a ropes course and arcade games. Its first two weeks of trading results were described by the company as “exceptional.”

Alongside its aim to re-develop multi-attraction FECs, Ardent said it planned to pursue further opportunities to acquire standalone amusement arcades and to divest underperforming “non-core” locations.
