The funeral of UK coin machine sales icon Bob Deith took place quietly yesterday at Sacred Heart Church, Edge Hill, Wimbledon, London. Deith, who was 76, died on March 6 suddenly.

The church saw a large number of people from the UK coin machine industry, from manufacturers, distributors, operators; from travelling showmen to people from all walks of his long and illustrious career in the industry.

The mourners were headed by his wife, Ely, his sons, Simon, Leon, Matthew and their families. The service ended with eulogies from all three sons, often amusing, but always emotionally delivered and with obvious deep affection for their father.

Afterwards, mourners were entertained at The Belvedere, Richmond Park, Surrey.
