Owner Gerry Parsons has sold the company to a consortium of seven investors from the operating sector, most of them from the Independent Operators’ Association.

Amdex will continue to be run by Andy Brudenell as CEO, and he will be joined on the board by Greg Wood.

The Hampshire-based company has supplied software to many independent operators who value its ability to cover data capture, servicing, managing collection processes and monitoring financial and machine performance.

In a statement, the new owners said: “We have made the purchase to ensure the continued supply of our current software package for ourselves and for other operators and to facilitate further expansion and improvement in the software and services provided by Amdex.

“Our focus is to provide the tools to enable operators to be more efficient in their operations and management. New products that are developed will be offered on a new pricing structures and will be optional modules supported by the core Am-Ais system.”
