Over two years since closing its first Las Vegas location, GameWorks has opened a new family entertainment centre in Town Square, Las Vegas. The grand opening was held in August.

The new FEC occupies 37,000sq.ft of space and features a restaurant and bar, bowling lanes, laser tag arena, a 100-seat online game room and a state-of-the-art amusement arcade.

The arcade deploys Sacoa’s PlayCard System, which is used throughout GameWorks’ nationwide chain of stores, but is the first to use the HDT Card Readers.

“It was great to partner with Sacoa and install the fabulous new HDT reader on our equipment,” said Darren Des Roches, area director with GameWorks. “The integration of all components’ into one unit and the e-ticket feature is a true difference maker, not only in the guest experience but in our operating costs.”

Sebastian Mochkovsky, director at Sacoa, added: “I was very impressed by the positive change. [There’s] a beautiful game mix all over the area, including an eSports Arena with PC and console games, that delivers a potential future business for the FEC environment.

“All the best to my GameWorks friends in their new path as they continue to expand.”
