The major German gaming company Gauselmann Group has completed work on its new logistics centre in Lübbecke – the largest building project in its history.

The Gauselmann family celebrated the completion of the 15-month construction project together with numerous political and business figures on July 15.

“Our development and production location in Lübbecke now features a state-of-the-art logistics centre that didn’t take long to build,” said group founder Paul Gauselmann. “It was a pleasure to watch the project’s progress.”

The 17m-high facility has a usable area of 21,000sq.m, providing storage space for logistics, as well as additional space for development, production and service. The expansion is intended to optimise internal and external processes, cut unnecessary expense and improve overall time management.

It replaces over 20,000sq.m of rented storage space in seven locations across the Lübbecke area and will therefore help to centralise logistic processes.

This optimisation forms part of the company’s preparations for potentially disruptive new gaming regulations that may soon come into force in Germany. The Gauselmann Group is aiming to increase the foreign share of its business from 40 per cent currently to over 50 per cent.
