In receiving the International Trade award, the Oldham-based company has demonstrated outstanding achievement and substantial growth in overseas earnings and commercial success.

“The Queen’s Awards are one of the most prestigious business accolades in the UK and are only awarded to companies demonstrating the highest level of excellence,” said managing director Aidan Towey. “We are honoured to receive the award for International Trade.”

This latest honour is the third Queen’s Award presented to the company, its previous successes coming in 1997 and 1999. Around 160 Queen’s Awards have been announced this year for outstanding business achievement in the fields of international trade, innovation and sustainable development.

“This is a very exciting time for Innovative Technology,” Towey continued. “As a company we are going from strength to strength. After a year of unparalleled success, for every aspect of the business in 2013, we are currently in the process of building a new ‘state-of-the-art’ office facility at our UK head office and will create up to 30 new positions this year.

“Over the summer we will celebrate the Queen’s Award in style with a party for all our European staff and special guest, the Lord Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.”
