More than half of the exhibition space for the recently announced Autumn Coin-op Show to be held in London, UK, has been sold.

Stamford Bridge

The show’s launch prompted an enthusiastic response from many within the UK amusement industry, with several leading companies quick to reserve their stands at the event, which is scheduled to take place at Chelsea Football Club on October 15-16.

Just two weeks after the show was confirmed by organiser Swan Events, Crown Direct, Harry Levy Amusements, Astra Games, RLMS, Sound leisure, NSM Music and Reflex Gaming have already signed up.

“We welcome the re-emergence of a coin-op focused event during the autumn period,” said Alan Rogers, sales and marketing director at Astra Games. “It will hopefully provide a great opportunity for the industry to get together, take stock of where we are all at and showcase some great new product.

“The industry has been missing this kind of event where like-minded stakeholders can gather to network and engage with customers ahead of the big gaming shows in the new year.”

Chris Black, managing director of Sound Leisure, described the loss of the regional trade shows as “one of the major casualties” of the recent economic downturn.

“We believe that the latest autumn show bridges an important gap in the calendar and hopefully signals a return to a more positive outlook for the industry as a whole,” he added.
