The venue has been transformed into an all-round entertainment and sports viewing experience with a £350,000 investment to create a modern destination. The casino originally opened in 2002 with strong connections to the local rugby league club.

Players and officials from the club were on hand at the reopening of the casino with a charity night. They included Jamie Jones-Buchanan from Leeds Rhinos and Eorl Crabtree from Huddersfield Giants (pictured).

Casino manager Garry Oldfield, said: “After a challenging 18 months for the hospitality industry, we have a new-look venue to present to our customers. It is a significant investment in the town’s hospitality sector and shows our commitment to creating a modern venue.”

The upgrade includes live sports viewing and live betting on grosvenorsport.com with three giant screens operating 24 hours a day, plus a new bar and restaurant and an upgraded table games area with new roulette and card tables.
