UK bookmaker William Hill has signed a long-term deal with the Plaza Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, US, to transform the operator’s sports book.

Under the agreement, the Plaza sports book will undergo a series of upgrades, including new video displays and seating, as well as a redesign of the adjacent bar area. The partnership expands a long-standing relationship between the Plaza and Brandywine Bookmaking, one of the three Nevada sports book operators William Hill acquired in June.

William Hill will also provide Plaza customers access to its latest technology, such as its mobile sports wagering application, the only app approved in Nevada for use on the iPhone, iPad, Android and Blackberry devices.

“The Plaza race and sports book is known for its terrific customer service and wagering product,” said William Hill US CEO Joe Asher. “We look forward to enhancing the experience with an even better wagering product and great technology.”

Tony Santo, president of Play LV, operator of the Plaza Hotel and Casino, said William Hill’s technology will improve the customer experience at the property.
