Following the announcement that Octavian International had entered administration on May 7, Austrian Gaming Industries, the international subsidiary of the Novomatic Group of Companies, has moved decisively to acquire various Octavian assets.

Certain other assets, including core intellectual properties, had previously been ascribed to AGI. The purpose of this acquisition is to enable AGI to ensure that former Octavian customers now have a truly viable alternative source of excellence-driven gaming solutions that is backed by one of the world’s foremost gaming groups.

Around the world Octavian had always been held in great regard for its high standards of technical innovation and dedicated customer service. It is now AGI’s clear intention to build on this reputation for excellence in the future.

AGI managing director Jens Halle said: “As with every area of AGI’s business, the customer is king. Many AGI customers were also Octavian customers and it is to safeguard their requirements and to exceed their expectations that we have taken the decision to acquire these assets and intellectual properties.

“By extending our focus to now include system solutions, we further enhance our core business and we are fully committed to providing the level of innovation and customer service that is the strong foundation of our global business.”
