Atlantic City's casinos reported $294.2m in casino win in January, a decrease of 8.5 per cent compared with the same month last year.

Results published by the Casino Control Commission show that the 11 casinos won $195.5m at the slot machines and another $98.7m at table games. Slot revenue declined 7.6 per cent, while table revenues decreased 10.1 per cent.

Casinos also paid $23.5m in taxes on their taxable gross revenues in January.
