Olga Pleguezuelos, aged 35, the marketing manager for Aristocrat Europe, was found dead from stab wounds at her Harrow-on-the-Hill, London, home on Monday morning.

Police were called to her home, which Ms Pleguezuelos shared with her husband, Mark Campbell, early in the morning and discovered her body. A 53-year-old man was arrested at the scene, suffering from neck and wrist injuries and is recovering in hospital.

A post mortem on Ms Pleguezuelos found that she had died from multiple stab wounds.

Mark Campbell is the former chief information officer of International Leisure Development, the consortium that is developing the Gran Scala project in Spain, a multi-purpose desert complex of housing, shopping and entertainment which is to include many casinos.

Ms Pleguezuelos joined Aristocrat – which is a shareholder in the Gran Scala project – in 2007 after 10 years in marketing and telecommunications. Spanish by birth, Ms Pleguezuelos was fluent in English, Catalan and Portuguese.
