Century Casinos has announced its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2009.

For the second quarter of the year, net operating revenue from continuing operations was $11,884,000 and consolidated EBITDA was $1,563,000. This represented a 14 per cent decrease in net operating revenue on the figure recorded during the same period in 2008.

Century said that it experienced a decline in net operating revenue at its properties in Colorado due to a decrease in its market share in Cripple Creek and a decline in the overall gaming market in Central City. In addition, its net operating revenue reported in US dollars from Edmonton, Canada, was 16 per cent lower than a year earlier. This decline was attributed to lower table game revenue.
