Donald Trump appears to have won back control of the casino group that still bears his name.

The US business mogul attempted to sever ties with Trump Entertainment Resorts in February, claiming that the company’s performance had failed to meet his expectations. It is now understood that Trump is willing to purchase the company for $100m in partnership with Beal Bank Nevada.

“My daughter Ivanka and I will work tirelessly to make this company great again,” Trump said in a statement. “As I have done in the past, we will make Atlantic City hot once more.”

Trump Entertainment Resorts filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February with reported debts of $1.7bn.
