Penn National Gaming has unveiled its new $336m casino boat Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg, which replaces the Argosy Casino Hotel.

A number of officials, including Lawrenceburg Mayor William Cunningham and Penn National Gaming’s chief executive officer Peter M Carlino, were on hand at the casino’s opening ceremony on June 29.

“With four years of planning, two years of construction and a new significant capital investment, Hollywood Casino Lawrenceburg is bringing guests new gaming and entertainment experiences that are unrivalled in the market,” Carlino said. “The Hollywood décor and theme is flawlessly executed throughout the facility, we have added a large number of slots and gaming positions to accommodate significantly more patrons during peak periods and we have expanded parking and made infrastructure improvements which will make the facility more accessible than ever before.”

The new Hollywood Casino boat is over twice the size of the previous property’s casino, offering 4,400 gaming positions and boasting a capacity for 9,000 guests.
