Australia's Ainsworth Game Technology has concluded a deal under which it will supply video content for slot machines to Bally Technologies.

In an announcement last month, AGT stated that global economic conditions and fluctuating currency movement trends over the past few weeks would adversely affect AGT’s second half results for the current financial year and a trading loss was expected.

However, the continued success of its product development strategy had resulted in good product performance. It also announced that it had entered into a non-exclusive game content licensing agreement with Bally within North America. The deal will expand the distribution channels for AGT’s Game Plus range.

The agreement is for an initial period of three years and AGT will be paid a minimum of US$1.2m per year from the receipt of the initial approval of the first game licensed. The arrangement was expected to begin in the first half of the year ending June 30, 2010.

Chairman Len Ainsworth told InterGaming: "We expect this to be a great success for both companies, as right now our video games are doing extraordinarily well, particularly by comparison with our competitors."
