Equity firm Advent International is to partner with the Martinez family to take an equity stake in Enjoy, a gaming and resort operator in Chile and Uruguay.
The investment by Advent comes through a capital increase of up to US$170m and tender offer for up to 100 per cent of the shares that shareholders in Enjoy are prepared to sell.
The Martinez family founded Enjoy 40 years ago with one casino in Chile and now has 10 and 10 hotels in Chile, Uruguay, Argentina and Colombia. Its operation has 6,000 slots, 350 tables, 1,200 hotel rooms and 30 restaurants.
