JGC will take place on May 10 and 11 this year and it will precede the opening of the country to international standard casino resorts. Clarion has now confirmed that senior LDP and Democratic Party government officials who are key to the casino proposals, will be among the speakers.

They include Takeshi Iwaya, secretary general of the multi-party committee in the House of Representatives; Yasutoshi Nishimura, executive director of the multi party committee; Ryosuke Kozuki from the House of Councilors (LDP); Shigeki Sato or alternatively Kiyohiko Toyama from the Democratic Party sitting in the House of Representatives; and Takeashi Ishizeki, also of the Democratic Party in the House of Representatives.

They will join other key international industry speakers at the event, to be held at the Grand Hyatt, Tokyo. Topics will include Japan’s growth strategy, the political environment, how international resorts can help encourage tourism, the operator vision; the most appropriate regulation for Japan; and financing projects; opportunities for local prefectures and Japanese companies.
