An international joint venture led by Star Entertainment is set to pay up to AU$160m for a beachfront resort in Queensland, Australia.
The gaming company, which is working in conjunction with Hong Kong developer Far East Consortium and retailer Chow Tai Fook, hopes a revamped Sheraton Mirage will complement its Queen’s Wharf development and nearby Jupiters Hotel and Casino.
The operator is believed to be keen on overhauling the property, although details of the plans are yet to be finalised.
