SJM will look to get 400 to 500 table games allocated to its under-construction Grand Lisboa Palace in Cotai, Macau.

This is down from the 700 table games the resort was based on. CEO Ambrose So said SJM will wait until the casino is closer to completion before applying for the tables with the government. Grand Lisboa is slated to open at the end of next year.

The Macau government has said it will stick to its three per cent a year cap on table annual growth through 2020. That equates to 250 tables for each of the casinos opening in Cotai.
