October 31 saw the first ground broken in Crown Technologies' rebuilding project at Rellengen, 15km from Hamburg, Germany, The company is a subsidiary of Novomatic, Austria and the former Bergmann company, which was bought out in May 2006.

The 15,000sq.m factory will be demolished in half and rebuilt into a three-storey administration and factory building next year. The other half will be similarly demolished and rebuilt.
