Two hundred and fifty delegates from 19 countries attended the 34th Gaming Summit held by the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA) which ran from June 2-5 in Canada.
The venue was the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver, British Colombia and the event ran through four days. Among the delegates were operators, suppliers, lawyers, investors, financial advisors and regulators. A number of panels and breakout sessions were included during the Summit, all addressing current concerns of the wider industry.
They included responsible gaming, money laundering, sports betting, fantasy sports regulation, new technologies and other topics. Main speakers were Bo Bernhard, executive director of the UNLV International Gaming Institute, Gavin Isaacs, President and CEO at Scientific Games, and Diana Bennett, Chairman of Paragon Gaming. Included in the programme were one-day workshops from the National Center for Responsible gambling and GLI the standards company.
“Our compelling programme highlighted many internationally relevant gaming issues,” said IAGA President Katie Lever. “It featured an impressive list of industry experts and thought leaders, providing our attendees with an unprecedented opportunity to hear from and interact with many individuals responsible for shaping the face of gaming today.”
