The Dutch company’s new device was originally developed for the nightclub business and then subsequently adapted for the gaming industry.

Bills are simply fed through a reader. Fresh software can be introduced each time a new denomination of bill is produced or for another currency.

Suzo-Happ sales manager Marc Aarts said: “To update the unit, it is not necessary to buy a new one. It can simply be connected to a computer to download the new software. It is ideal for any POS situation in a casino."

The unit has been given the name CCE 110 Neo.
