The Slovenia-based electronic multiplayer gaming machine developer is celebrating 20 years in business during 2014. It now sells its games all over the world, but InterGaming was keen to inquire about its business in its domestic region.

Alfastreet

InterGaming: How long have you been doing business in eastern Europe?

Alfastreet has been doing business in the countries of eastern Europe since the very beginning, so it is the 20th anniversary this year. We are proud of the work we have done with our machines, making them universally attractive to all world markets.

Which countries in eastern Europe are your best markets?

We feel that every country must be taken into consideration separately, as they are extremely different among themselves, regarding the demographics, legislation, gaming market, etc.

However, Alfastreet was the undisputed leader of the market in the former USSR and has indeed remained one in the succeeding countries with legal gaming, such as Belarus, Moldova, Estonia and Latvia. We have a predominant market position in Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and in the countries of former Yugoslavia. We believe in having an important presence in the region as a whole and we consider it very successful.

Which of your products sell well in eastern Europe and why?

The favourite product through the years has been without a doubt the R8 automated electronic roulette. It set the standards in the industry for this type of gaming machine and is by far the most recognisable Alfastreet product. We are extremely satisfied that it is still generating important sales in its latest evolution. Eastern European markets have also embraced the Alfastreet poker machine and the SL single terminal, although they traditionally need some time to accept new technologies. We have received very positive reactions to our new R4 electronic roulette.
